CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD. is focusing on key ships and key projects to launch a tough battle. They are emphasizing early project planning, specifically for the wood chip ship "Firecracker Flower" with a full scaffold in the cargo hold, full paint removal, and flat bottom paint removal at the waterline. Before entering the factory, they completed the overall planning schedule, selected the cargo hold sandblasting berth, and procured 100 tons of scaffold steel pipe materials and accessories. After the subsequent ships enter the factory, they will execute according to the plan and successfully complete the ship repairs. They are also focusing on process control for key ships. The "Himalaya" is the first ship from Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) to be repaired at the factory. Given the high standards and requirements of the Japanese client, all levels of management have attached great importance to it. The project team has focused on process control, successfully completing the full paint removal in the cargo hold, tail shaft inspection, tail bearing replacement, main engine cylinder maintenance, rudder blade disassembly and new rudder sleeve installation, and full paint removal on the outer plate and flat bottom. Ultimately, the ship left the factory on April 13 as scheduled, receiving praise from the shipowner.
According to statistics, in April, Xinhong Heavy Industry repaired a total of 40 ships from both domestic and foreign sources, of which 26 ships were completed and left the factory, with the proportion of foreign ship repairs exceeding 80%. They completed a total of 117 dynamic entries and exits from the factory and dock; the sandblasting area of the cargo hold reached 100,000 square meters, with SA2.0 reaching 78,600 square meters; the consumption of sand for sandblasting on the outer plate and cargo hold was 10,800 tons, all reaching historical highs. In May, the ship repair situation at Xinhong Heavy Industry is also promising, with at least 35 ships being repaired in the factory.
In the face of challenging production tasks, Xinhong Heavy Industry has made preparations in advance, organizing various departments to deploy early, reasonably allocating labor, space, equipment, and energy to ensure high efficiency and high quality in completing tasks.
