The meeting was co-hosted by SPCC Executive Chairman Li Zhengjian and Huang Guiqi, Chairman of the 90th rotating chair unit CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD. Representatives from various industries and central enterprises, including the Ship Repair Committee of the China Shipbuilding Engineering Society, the Ship Repair Branch of the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, China Shipbuilding Group, COSCO Shipping Group, and China Merchants Industry Holdings, as well as 40 representatives from more than 20 major ship repair companies across the country, attended the meeting.

Chairman Huang Guiqi delivered a keynote report titled "Consolidating the Foundation, Continuous Improvement - Building a Modern Ship Repair Enterprise," introducing the company's basic situation, development overview, and future plans around the theme of "Consolidating the Foundation, Continuous Improvement, Building a Modern Ship Repair Enterprise." Since 2017, Xinhong Heavy Industry has been engaged in ship repair business, relying on its superior geographical location and complete facilities, with annual output value increasing from 200 million in 2018 to 700 million, capable of repairing 240 ships annually. The company emphasizes the importance of team building, equipment upgrading, and management improvement, while recognizing its shortcomings in capacity, refined management, and green production. In the future, the company plans to actively move towards a sustainable modern enterprise by expanding its scale through investment, developing high value-added projects, and introducing advanced equipment. It hopes that participants will work together to contribute to the future of China's ship repair industry.

Subsequently, each member unit of SPCC exchanged information on their operating conditions from January to September 2024, analyzing market trends and strategies.

According to the summary of the 90th SPCC meeting, the records of the top 25 major ship repair enterprises in China for the first three quarters show that the ship repair output value reached 27.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%, with a quarter-on-quarter increase of nearly 1 percentage point; 4,565 ships were completed and delivered, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%, with a quarter-on-quarter increase of nearly three percentage points, achieving "double growth" across the industry again.

The meeting conducted statistics on green ship repair:

As of September 30, the summary from each member unit showed a total of 1,267 water machines, 249 wall-climbing robots; 106 dock bottom vehicles; and 51 large arm vehicles.

In the ship repair painting completed from January to September, which totaled over 47.75 million square meters, the proportion of water-based paint was 50.9%. This fully reflects the emphasis on green ship repair, the strengthening of environmental awareness, and the trend of green ship repair.

        The meeting discussed relevant proposals.

During the meeting, Executive Chairman Li Zhengjian proposed a draft outline regarding the "Ten-Year Vision for a Strong Ship Repair Nation" based on the discussions, including six characteristics of a strong ship repair nation, nine symbols, the concept of a strong nation, and reform options, which all representatives actively agreed with. This meeting decided to include the "Ten-Year Vision for a Strong Ship Repair Nation" as one of the proposals for discussion at the next meeting.

During the meeting, the host CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD. leaders expressed gratitude to all new and old friends attending.

At the end of the meeting, Huang Guiqi, Chairman of CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD., handed over the SPCC flag to the next rotating chair unit, Huangpu Wenchong Ship Repair, in the presence of Chairman Li Zhengjian and all representatives.
