On June 6, 2025, as the "DIVINUS" vessel slowly sailed out of the dry dock, the company once again achieved a milestone breakthrough in green ship repair – successfully applying electrostatic spraying technology to the application of silicone paint on the ship's outer hull.

Technological breakthrough, empowering green ship repair
The "DIVINUS" vessel is 287 meters in length and 45 meters in width. This repair project includes rust removal and painting of cargo holds and silicone coating of the outer hull, with an outer hull coating area of 24,915 square meters. Faced with the environmental requirements of the new era, the company actively responds to the national Ministry of Ecology and Environment's policy on the prevention and control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) pollution,in collaboration with PPG, a leading company in the coatings industry, introduced electrostatic spraying technology , significantly reducing VOCs emissions and effectively improving coating efficiency.
Compared to traditional spraying processes, electrostatic spraying technology uses the principle of electrostatic field adsorption to precisely adhere paint particles to the hull surface, increasing paint utilization rate by over 30%, making the paint film more uniform and smooth, and significantly reducing overspray and paint waste. Simultaneously, this technology, combined with PPG's SIGMAGLIDE 2390 special coating, further optimizes the film formation effect and extends the coating's service life, achieving the goal of high-quality, low-emission green coating.
Practical implementation, a win-win for efficiency and environmental protection
On June 4, the company organized a special meeting with relevant management and operational personnel from PPG, the painting workshop, and the construction team to conduct in-depth discussions on the application of electrostatic spraying technology. After the meeting, professional technical training was immediately launched, PPG technical experts provided on-site guidance on equipment operation and key construction. Around 10 AM, as the first spray of paint was completed, a significant reduction in paint mist was visible at the construction site under the sunlight, and the working environment improved noticeably. After two days of efficient construction, the "DIVINUS" vessel successfully completed its coating project and exited the dry dock, thoroughly validating the efficiency, stability, and environmental friendliness of electrostatic spraying technology.

Continuous innovation, moving towards a future of green intelligent manufacturing
The successful application of electrostatic spraying technology has created a replicable and scalable green ship repair technical solution, accumulating valuable practical experience for the company. In the future, the company will continue to deepen process innovation, further improve green ship repair technology through intelligent equipment upgrades, refined process optimization, and professional talent training, to promote the company's development towards high-end, intelligent, and green directions, and contribute XinHong's strength to the sustainable development of the ship repair industry!
