At 13:20 on April 20, 2025, the main pump in the company's No. 1 dock experienced a sudden abnormal vibration, and the equipment department immediately shut down the pump according to regulations. At 5:30 the next morning, after the water level in No. 1 dock had dropped, the equipment department immediately organized maintenance personnel to dive into the bottom of the pump room to investigate the fault and determine its cause. Facing the urgent production dock period task, the company leadership quickly deployed repair instructions, and the mechanical and electrical workshop's fitter work team immediately responded. A strike team of six key fitters, led by the fitter foreman, was immediately deployed for repair work.
It was a rainy spring season, and the repair environment in the dock was extremely harsh; the pump room corridor was flooded up to chest height, with the cold seawater biting to the bone. However, the members of the strike team showed no sign of retreat. Wearing diving suits, they worked continuously against the clock, precisely dismantling the faulty impeller and transporting it to the mechanical and electrical workshop for emergency processing of the locating pin hole and the preparation of a new pin. After 13 hours of continuous high-intensity work, the impeller installation and commissioning were completed ahead of schedule at 20:30 on April 21. The No. 1 dock main pump resumed operation, 3.5 hours ahead of the original production schedule, which bought valuable time for the timely drainage of the No. 2 dock! 
In this race against time, all employees from the mechanical and electrical workshop and equipment department who participated in the operation overcame many difficulties with a sense of ownership, thoroughly practicing the production management concept of 'dock period is the lifeline', and fully ensuring that the ship's entry and exit dock production plan was completed on time.
