Recently, the maintenance project for the “Ocean Oil 923” jack-up drilling rig, undertaken by Shandong Xinhong Heavy Industry, was successfully completed. On June 12, 2026, the rig departed the shipyard on schedule, delivered five days ahead of the contracted deadline, once again underscoring the company’s robust expertise in offshore platform repair.
The project has a total contract duration of 50 days, with maintenance scope encompassing more than ten key tasks, including hull structure inspection and repair, area‑specific painting, piping system upkeep, equipment testing, erection of high‑altitude scaffolding, vibration screen modification, and removal of overhead pipelines. Faced with multiple challenges—such as the platform’s unique structural configuration, extensive high‑altitude work, deep cross‑disciplinary integration among diverse trades, and exceptionally stringent safety and quality control standards—the single‑vessel management team leveraged professional, meticulous management and technological innovation as twin engines.
