On August 24th, accompanied by the loud and festive salute, the towering "Victory No.10" jack-up drilling platform slowly departed from the berth at CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD. pier, returning to the blue sea. This marks the high-quality completion of all repairs and equipment upgrades of the company's first jack-up drilling platform after two and a half months of meticulous construction, officially delivered to Sinopec Group Victory Oilfield Administration Marine Drilling Company.

High-end equipment, "repair" shows strength

The "Victory No.10" platform's legs reach 80 meters high, integrating advanced drilling, living modules, and lifting systems. This repair covered dozens of core projects including mud pump replacement and upgrade, drilling winch modification, driller's cabin and living area equipment updates, major overhaul of the generator cabin, structural reinforcement, crack repair, full ship system inspection, BOP gantry crane modification, and overall coating and corrosion protection.

Facing challenges such as numerous technical difficulties, complex construction interfaces, and tight schedules, the offshore project management team adhered to the quality philosophy of "striving for excellence and customer first," formulated a meticulous construction plan, strictly controlled process standards, and fully ensured the high-quality progress of the project. For example, in the replacement of the mud pump high-pressure pipeline, 365 meters of ASTM A519 4130 material pipeline was used, welding processes and tempering insulation temperature control were strictly implemented, and all welds were inspected by RT and PAUT phased array testing. The first inspection pass rate reached as high as 98.5% 。

During the subsequent joint commissioning of drilling equipment, all key equipment including the top drive, mud pump, solids control system, and well control system (BOP) passed the linkage test successfully on the first try. Parameters such as pressure, flow, torque, and speed perfectly matched the design values, the system operated smoothly without leaks, earning high praise from the shipowner and ship inspection parties.

In terms of safety management, the offshore project management team always adhered to " Safety is the first benefit, safety is the greatest schedule " the philosophy, implementing "people-oriented, life first" throughout the entire process. Meticulous measures and emergency plans were formulated for confined space clearance, heavy lifting, and heatstroke prevention, ultimately achieving the safety goal of "zero accidents, zero injuries, zero pollution."
