On July 15, 2023, the Singaporean container ship "Yongrui" arrived at the company for the desulfurization tower project modification. The ship is 255 meters long and 37 meters wide. Due to the tight schedule, high difficulty of the modification project, and significant manpower requirements, as well as the high demands for coordination among various trades, it has become one of the most challenging desulfurization tower modification projects for the company this year.

Upon receiving the modification project for the ship, the company immediately formed a single-ship management project team and contacted the shipowner's representative at the factory to discuss and determine the modification plan for the "Yongrui" ship, providing good technical support for the smooth progress of the modification project.
At the beginning of the ship modification project, the production system set the production goals of "controlling dock time, ensuring quality, and expediting delivery." The single-ship management project team quickly convened a safety production planning meeting with the outsourced construction team and relevant parties to deploy and implement important production task milestones, strengthen the management of various production elements on site, with a focus on quality control measures, and fully implement the management standards of the DNV quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental management system, timely coordinating and integrating human, material, financial, and technical resources to ensure the smooth advancement of all production tasks for the "Yongrui" ship.

During the project modification process, the single-ship management project team, following the shipowner's suggestions and the design company's modification plan requirements, dismantled and added all structures (including connected wall panels and rock wool) and pipelines inside the D deck chimney of the living area (except for the front wall of the chimney), and assembled them in sections. The piping system and outfitting platform were also all bulk assembled on site, which increased the difficulty of this desulfurization tower modification project. In response, the company's production department urgently organized and optimized the plan, reasonably allocated human and material resources from the electromechanical, hull, service, and painting workshops, overcame bottlenecks caused by three-dimensional cross operations, and addressed the shipowner's requirement of not occupying the original ship's box position, leading all workers to work in shifts day and night despite the heat and rain, successfully completing all modification project goals within 21 days.

The timely delivery of the "Yongrui" ship showcased the excellent team spirit of scientific organization and collaborative operation of the single-ship management project team, setting a new record for the shortest modification cycle for this type of ship in the company's history.
On the afternoon of August 5, the "Yongrui" ship successfully completed its trial voyage project, setting sail with the blessings of all company employees. The successful modification of this desulfurization project received full recognition from the shipowner company and also accumulated rich experience for the company's subsequent modification projects for similar ships.
