Recently, the "Ocean Oil 228" vessel, which was first repaired by the company, successfully completed all upgrade and modification projects ahead of schedule and set sail.
The "Ocean Oil 228" is a barge with a deadweight capacity of 18,000 tons, a total length of 192.73 meters, a beam width of 52 meters, and a deadweight of 57,000 tons. It is a flagship vessel of CNOOC's Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. The main project involves the replacement and reinforcement of approximately 2,000 tons of steel structure, with plans to increase the floating load capacity to 20,000 tons after modification. This is the first offshore engineering vessel repair and modification project undertaken by the company, and it holds special significance as the first vessel in our friendly cooperation with CNOOC.

The project covers a wide area, with a complex engineering structure and high requirements for quality, technology, and safety control. Before the vessel entered the factory, the company leadership attached great importance to it, immediately directing the business department, production department, and safety and environmental protection department to jointly form a single-vessel management project team. They arranged for professional technical personnel to conduct on-site inspections at the CNOOC Qingdao base where the vessel was docked. The single-vessel management project team actively planned the modification construction scheme and project safety management plan based on the on-site inspection and the actual situation of the repair period, ensuring professional training for management personnel and construction teams, and laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the maintenance and modification tasks.

During the vessel modification period, to ensure that all projects progressed safely and efficiently as planned, the single-vessel management project team maintained friendly communication with the vessel's team, continuously optimizing construction processes around the main line of work, clarifying each construction node, and coordinating the allocation of human, material, and technical resources. They fully implemented quality, technology, and safety control measures, consistently adhering to the production goals of "controlling dock time, ensuring quality, and meeting delivery deadlines," strictly observing safety red lines, focusing on project progress, continuously improving quality, and striving to overcome various difficulties such as tight contract repair periods, insufficient prefabrication time for steel structures, rapid labor resource allocation efficiency requirements, multiple safety control focuses, and complex engineering structures. Ultimately, through the uninterrupted work of all personnel involved in the modification, as well as the careful organization and on-site control by the single-vessel management project team, the repair and modification tasks of the "Ocean Oil 228" were completed with quality, quantity, and efficiency, earning high praise and trust from the shipowner for the excellent repair quality and service quality.

The successful delivery of the "Ocean Oil 228" has added new achievements for the company in expanding the offshore engineering vessel repair market, further improving our ship repair product structure, and laying a good foundation for undertaking more special vessel repairs in the future, accumulating valuable practical experience.
