The cold winter sharpens our blades—mission accomplished: Xin Hong Heavy Industry successfully completes the installation project of Kone cranes on the vessel “Global Wealth.”

On February 9, 2026, as a resounding whistle pierced the sky, the vessel “Global Wealth,” carrying the painstakingly crafted成果 of Xinhong Heavy Industry, slowly departed from the dock and set sail proudly toward the deep blue sea. This marks the successful completion of our company’s first-ever project to retrofit a Konecranes crane.

The “Global Wealth” is a Panamax bulk carrier, 225 meters in length and 32.26 meters in width. The core tasks for this shipyard maintenance include installing four 30-ton heavy-duty Kone cranes, fitting new generators, and performing major overhauls on the main engine and three auxiliary engines.

After receiving the assignment for this vessel’s maintenance project, the company’s management attached great importance to it. They carefully selected a team of highly skilled personnel to form a dedicated single-vessel management project group. The team proactively reached out to the shipowner stationed at the yard, organized multiple production preparation meetings, meticulously refined the operational procedures, and solidified the construction schedule, thereby laying a strong foundation for the smooth execution of the maintenance project.

The execution of the project’s maintenance work is a race against time and technical challenges. Under intense pressure from tight deadlines and overlapping tasks, the single-vessel management team successfully overcame numerous hurdles: Faced with the dilemma of missing design drawings and incomplete data for certain components, the technical team was dispatched to the site, where they engaged in close communication with the shipowner and conducted on-site surveys to swiftly complete the design conversion and produce detailed drawings. In response to discrepancies between the original ship structure and the design specifications, the team implemented process optimizations and on-site adjustments, ensuring millimeter-level precision in structural reinforcement and equipment base installation. At the critical stage of positioning and lifting the crane tower, the team remained firmly quality-oriented, leveraging meteorological and hydrological data to accurately predict surge cycles and scientifically select the optimal operational window, thereby achieving seamless coordination among all specialized processes and completing the work in one go. As the commissioning of the crane system entered its final phase, the team encountered an unexpected situation involving unstable generator performance by the shipowner. Remaining calm and conducting a thorough analysis, the single-vessel management team quickly identified the root cause of the issue and took scientifically sound corrective measures, ultimately ensuring that all test items were successfully passed at once and earning the shipowner’s full approval.

It’s the depths of winter, and the cold wind is biting—but the construction site remains bustling with energy. The single-vessel management team is meticulously coordinating and integrating multiple trades—including hull work, mechanical and electrical systems, and painting—so that they proceed in an orderly, overlapping manner, while efficiently allocating and synchronizing all production resources. By holding daily project meetings to track progress and remove obstacles, the team has demonstrated exceptional cross-departmental collaboration and highly effective execution.

The flawless delivery of this “Global Wealth” vessel has earned high praise from the shipowner and further enhanced the brand recognition of “Xinhong Heavy Industry” in the ship maintenance and retrofit sector. Looking ahead, we will continue to uphold our corporate spirit of “craftsmanship, practicality, and a willingness to take responsibility,” constantly strengthening our overall technical capabilities and improving our management level for individual ship projects. We are committed to providing global clients with higher-quality, more reliable, and more efficient integrated solutions for ship maintenance and retrofit services.

Forge ahead with determination and tackle challenges together as we embark on this journey;
      A trust worth placing—mission accomplished.
