The safe docking of the "Robert Rizzo" has won high praise from the shipowners present.

On April 18, 2020, with the last cable of the "Roberto Rizzo" vessel tightened and secured, it safely and steadily docked at the No. 1 berth of Xinhong Heavy Industry with strong assistance from the Weihai Pilot Station.

The "Roberto Rizzo" (ROBERTO RIZZO) is an Italian bulk carrier, measuring 291.8 meters in length and 45 meters in width, with a deadweight tonnage of 176,189 tons. It is reported that the ship's main engine malfunctioned, leaving it in a powerless state, requiring tugboats to tow it to dock at Xinhong Heavy Industry for repairs, with a planned repair period of 48 days.
Upon receiving the pilotage request, the Weihai Pilot Station attached great importance to it and held a special meeting in the conference room of Xinhong Heavy Industry. They promptly organized our company's barge department, dock scheduling room, workshop, and other departments to conduct meticulous planning, formulating a detailed pilotage plan and emergency response plan. Through active communication and collaboration between the company and the Weihai Pilot Station, they ensured the safe and steady docking of the "Roberto Rizzo" at the Xinhong Heavy Industry dock.

The safe docking of the "Roberto Rizzo" received high praise from the ship's representatives present. On April 23, Xinhong Group presented a banner inscribed with "Professional and Efficient for Safety, Responsible for Development" to the Weihai Port Pilot Station, thanking them for their pilotage and smooth docking, as well as their superb piloting skills and high-quality, efficient service spirit, which provided strong support for the repair period of Xinhong Heavy Industry, filling the gap in the safe towing and docking of a powerless vessel with a deadweight of 170,000 tons for the first time.
